Illuminations
September 20 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm
$5 – $15
“Illuminations” – OBOG Wind Symphony (Yuhua CACC) Annual Concert.
Every piece in this year’s programme chases a different kind of light: moonlight in The Moon’s Reflection (二泉映月), blistering sun in the saxophone ensemble piece Sunburnt, gold in Eric Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque, divine light and triumph in Alfred Reed’s Praise Jerusalem, and sunlight breaking through the clouds after loss and chaos in Hokoyama’s Spiritual Planet. The first half opens with smaller ensembles – percussion, clarinets, reeds and saxophones – before the full concert band takes the stage.
$15 (General Admission)
$12 (Concession – students & seniors 60+; valid student card or PAssion Silver Card required at entry)
$5 (Yuhua residents).
